Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making this website and our programmes usable by people with disabilities.

1. Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use this website and take part in our programmes. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and to improve accessibility over time.
2. How we approach accessibility
- Semantic headings, landmarks and page structure that assistive technologies can understand.
- Keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators.
- A skip-to-content link and descriptive link text.
- Colour choices intended to provide readable contrast.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and decorative images marked appropriately.
- Support for reduced-motion preferences and avoidance of unnecessary animation.
- Responsive layouts that work with zoom and smaller screens.
- Form labels and instructions intended to be clear and programmatically associated.
3. Forms and documents
We aim to label form fields clearly, identify required fields and provide helpful error messages. If a document, illustration or form is not accessible to you, contact us and we will try to provide the information in another format, such as plain text, large print or an accessible electronic version.
4. Known limitations
This website is maintained by a small team and has not yet been independently audited. Some illustrations, third-party links, embedded services or older documents may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We welcome specific reports so that we can fix them.
5. Accessible programmes and events
We will try to make our programmes and events accessible. If you need an accommodation, such as a sign-language interpreter, captioning, accessible venue, materials in an alternative format or extra time, tell us as early as possible so that we can plan for it.
6. Feedback and complaints
If you face an accessibility barrier, write to contact@sangathya.org with the page or programme, the problem, the assistive technology or browser you use and the format you need. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 5 working days and respond substantively within 20 working days.
7. Review
We will review this statement periodically and when we make significant changes to the website or our programmes. This statement is a statement of intent and self-assessment, not a claim of third-party certification.
